In the foothills of the Krusne mountains, northeast of the Doupovske hills. On the river Ohre, near the Nechranice dam. Once a free royal town with a castle and monastery, known for its clay and kaolin mining, now an industrial town near three large power plants. In Kadan is the narrowest street in the Czech Republic, Katova tiny street. Almost fairy tale looks the white tower of the town hall on the Mirove square.
